Joseph Jackman 70 a respected Emmetsburg resident and Palo Alto County native died at his son in law and daughter T J Cullen’s home northwest of the city after illness since September. Funeral set for Saturday at St Thomas Catholic Church with Father Keane officiating. interment in St John’s cemetery. Surviving children include Dr R J Jeaneat and Dr James Apurens, Mrs T J Cullen, Mrs Frank Spencer, and six grandchildren. Farm Fire Near Cylinder Destroys Storage and Crops
An $8000 fire of unknown origin destroyed a large corn crib two automobiles and 2000 bushels of oats 6000 bushels of 1938 corn and 200 bushels of 1987 corn on the John Meling farm five miles northeast of Cylinder early Wednesday.
