Mrs M H Hilton Passes Away At Sibley
Mrs M H Hilton longtime resident died November 26 at her son W M Hilton's home in Sibley Iowa. She lived west of town for years, moved to Cumberland Wisconsin, then returned to Iowa. Survived by husband M H Hilton and ten children including Henry H William M John H A J Alfred M and daughters H B Osgerby L M Jackson Henry Knutsen Will Peters and Boyd Hines. She was Adventist and active in Cumberland church. Funeral held the following Saturday with heartfelt condolences from family and community.

Bee keeper reports 60 hives and 7140 pounds honey
C H Sands of Mallard told Emmetsburg reporter he owns 60 bee hives that yielded about 7140 pounds of honey in summer. At 12 to 14 cents a pound the crop brought in near $1000. He is noted as a leading bee raiser in the county and friends celebrate his success. Dec 6 Ayrshire Indiana.

Ben Loughery Is Caught In Denver
Ben Loughery formerly of Sioux City, charged with complicity in the murder of Charles Mitchell of Armstrong at Arnold's Park on July 16, was arrested in Denver. He used the alias Ben Allen while working as a hotel bellboy. Officials plan to bring him back for trial as details link him to accomplice Marl Lavery, a Sioux City gunman, who is said to have killed Mitchell after accusing him of stealing from a motor boat. Mitchell, 92, a World War I Navy veteran and American Legion member, died after intruders fired at him in his cottage. Lavery and Loughery fled in a high powered car, and were suspected for months. Mitchell’s funeral drew many mourners.

No. 1 Nook north of the city was arrested by state and federal officers for keeping intoxicating liquors. Nearly five gallons were seized on his premises.
