Petersens Celebrate Golden Anniversary at Bethel Lutheran
Mr and Mrs Peter G Petersen marked their golden wedding anniversary with over 200 guests at Bethel Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon August 18 They were married December 3 1918 with family in attendance. Long list of attendees included daughters sons and in laws from distant states. A four tier cake decorated in gold bells and served by a planning team highlighted the celebration.

Sunday August 18 saw the annual Jensen family reunion with 34 members and four visitors at Ingham Lake Bible Camp. Marines Complete Four Weeks Of Combat Training At Camp Pendleton
Marine Private Douglas L. Christiansen has finished four weeks of combat training at Camp Pendleton California. The program covers tactical maneuvers and unit roles under selected instructors, preparing him for service in four man fire teams and 13 man squads.

NRG 4H Club Meeting Review and Fair Results
The NRG 4H club met August 2 at 2 p.m. at Sherry Logan's house with Joyce Ness assisting. Members discussed breakfast roll call, read and approved minutes, and heard treasurer Janice Brighton. Demonstrations covered hanging clothing, brushing clothing, and shoe care. The group updated record books, reported 58 Emmie County fair entries with 26 blue, 23 red, and 9 white ribbons.
