Mr. Suss and G Coolidge escaped unharmed. a nearby stalled car and fast-moving vehicle contributed to the near collision details. Threshing Season Nears End In Local Fields
The threshing season for thin section is nearly over with several machines pulled in last week and many others to finish early this week. Oats yield was excellent with fields producing 40 to 70 bushels per acre and an average around 50. All the Melda produced good quality oats.
Graettinger Beats Elk Lake 21 to 5 In Weekend Game
Graettinger 11, Dik Lake, and The Graettinger baseball team defeated the Eik Liavka team at Lost Talund Lake Sunday by a score of 21 to 5. Mulroney of Mallard, a noted semi pro pitcher, started for Elk Lake with Mike Englert pitching for Grottinger. The contest held much interest for the numerous fans in attendance.

Father Kelly leads a drive this week to raise about 2500 for a new tall pipe organ to be installed at the Catholic church this fall.
