Mrs Patrick O Rourke of Otter Creek Jackson County mother of Mrs George Graettinger and sister of Mrs John Wilson died Wednesday August 6th. Funeral was held Friday with Mrs Graettinger in attendance. The O Rourkes longtime residents of Graettinger area owning the Dexheimer farm later. Survived by four brothers Andrew John Shean Otter Creek James of Dubuque Cornelius of Sioux City. Sincere sympathy extended to Mrs Graettinger family and Mrs Wilson.

Annual dairy picnic sponsored by the Palo Alto County Cow Testing Association will be held at Hermah Damman home one half mile north of Emmetsburg across the old fair grounds road on Sunday August 20. Program includes judging at 11 am, picnic dinner at noon, address by Floyd Art Hold, sports for all ages, and an invitation to all dairying families.
