Mrs Hans Jensen Dies After Long Illness in Iowa City
Mrs Hans Jensen died Friday evening at about 7 15 in her home in Graettinger Iowa after weeks of serious illness and a stroke. Born December 23 1845 in Haugburd Denmark she was 86 years old. She and her husband Hans Jensen raised fourteen children and moved from Ringsted to Graettinger in 1893. Funeral services were held at home and at St Pauls Lutheran Church with Rev James P Christensen officiating. Interment followed in a nearby cemetery beside her husband. She is survived by nine children 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
