Mrs. C Nyborg of Lost Island township died at home on Friday April 6 after a long illness. Funeral Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev S O Sande officiating. interment in Lost Island cemetery. Survived by husband, ten children, four brothers, three sisters and numerous grandchildren. The family and community mourn her passing, honoring a devoted mother and neighbor. Also note plans for a new two story business building for H F Peterson on main street, with a meat market on the lower floor and a residence above.

Rock Island Yard Tragedy Kills Two Men
In Rock Island yards on track nine two workers were killed and another seriously injured when a switch crew moved dead locomotives into the area. Rock Rose died at the scene from a fatal head injury, while George Spoo suffered a broken leg and scalp wound and was taken to Coleman hospital. Glen Michaels escaped serious harm by diving between rails as a car moved. The accident remains under investigation and no blame assigned yet.

Chris Jensen Home Threatened By Fire
Fire near noon at the Chris Jensen home in the southeast part of town nearly destroyed the residence. Sparks from the chimney set shingles ablaze. The blaze was quickly detected and alarms sounded. Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the fire with losses estimated around $100.
