Barringer Busy Moving Cattle Through Storm
During a severe late week storm D C Barringer of Gruettinger drove four hundred head of cattle to a pasture northwest of Estherville. Two hundred broke loose and headed back toward Gruettinger, but were finally rounded up about ten miles south of Latherville. The cattle weathered the storm in fair shape and kept Barringer and his assistants on the move for several days.

Mrs Sturdevant Mourns Death of Mother Mrs Keator
Mrs Sturdevant of this place mourns the death of her mother Mrs L W Keator who died Friday at Guthrie Center. She was 87. She had been ill for some time and was called to her bedside a couple weeks ago. Henry Keator, long a resident here, is another son of the deceased. Local friends extend sympathy to Mrs Sturdevant in her sorrow.
Moidenhauera Win Verdict Over Damages Against Win
In Fairmont district court last week Mr and Mrs Moklenhauer were awarded 8882 in damages from Mr and Mrs Win MeoMacken of Emmaetsburg. Pursuant to a $12600 suit the verdict covered injuries to Mrs Moidenhauer and the death of Hargo from an apparent accident on a highway crossing near Welcome Minnesota last summer.

Larsen Remembered As Hard Working Denmark Native At Ringsted
Lars N. Larsen, longtime Ringsted resident, died at Emmetsburg hospital last Friday from bowel obstruction. Born March 2, 1876 in Talstrup Denmark, he immigrated with his family 17 years ago, farmed locally, and was highly regarded. He married Jensine Hansen eighteen years ago and left five children, a stepson, and a grieving community. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Fairmont Woman Killed by Gasoline Explosion
Mrs. Wm. E. Austin of Fairmont Minnesota was killed when static electricity triggered a gasoline explosion while she rinsed children’s clothes for Easter. The burning liquid scorched her clothing and body and ignited her, despite a neighbor’s effort to smother the flames. She left behind three children aged seven, six, and four.
