Rasmus Coupe Crashes Into Jackman Ford

A Ray Rasmus Chrysler coupe struck the Emmet Jackman Ford sedan on cemetery hill east of town shortly after two. Emmet Jackman and Maurice McNally were badly bruised. Rasmus suffered a broken nose and facial injuries. Krieger escaped with minor injuries. The two cars were to Groettinger for care. Dr Hession attended.

Graettinger Holds Under Path Championship Foot Race

A Graettinger foot race Tuesday night matched George Frick against Bob Simonsen for the under path title. The course ran from Charley Jensen corner to the hilltop, about a full block steep. Simonsen won in one flat, Frick a close second at ten percent. Simonsen claims true championship status and ready to race any challenger.

Graettinger residents counted about 4008 people buying eggs Saturday at 25 cents a dozen, bringing in roughly 2000 dollars. Last week 600 cases were shipped, estimated at 4800 dollars. Rock Island Fast Passenger Ditching at Cleve Sunday

On Sunday morning near Cleve the Rock Island Fast Passenger train 419 derailed as soft track caused rails to spread. The tender left the rails and wheels bogged in soft ground, but no one aboard was injured. Engineer Ed Donovan led the train during the stop.
