Washington June 27 The senate agricultural committee agreed on a drastic prohibition amendment to the administration food bill and favorably reported it as a substitute. The amendment prohibits the manufacture of beer and distilled liquor and gives the president unusual power.
Gov. James P. Goodrich Prof. G. I. Christie and W. J. Bryan are expected to speak at Plymouth Indiana on July 9 on the topic of Food Conservation.

Mrs Ethel Parks of Elkhart mother of four was fined 11 dollars and ordered to 30 days in the county jail after being found with roughs at McNaughton park. Neighbors say she neglected her children.
A head on crash on the Goshen Elkhart highway about three miles west of Goshen late yesterday afternoon left two machines considerably damaged. No further details on injuries or responsables were provided.
