Preston defeated for clerk of supreme court nomination
At the republican state convention in Indianapolis Charles oS Preston editor and publisher of the Monelcetho Herald was defeated for the nomination for clerk of the supreme court by Patrick J Lynch a Newcastle florist. The vote was 94 to THA. Nine teen Elkhart county delegates backed Preston with 19 votes. Elkhart county also backed Lewis F Rourke for state geologist and Remy for appelate court judge with varied tallies.
