A fine rain fell in the valley Saturday night delaying threshing but enabling plowing. Visiting Illinois residents include Mrs. Harris and her family, Mrs. Hart and son, and the mother and brother of Mrs. Henry Moore, who are related to Mrs. Harris.

Beach Adds Fifth Lumber Yard In Town
Still Another Yard Reports say Beach will host a fifth lumber yard as North Star Lumber Company buys land east of Beach Implement Company's warehouse. Several carloads of lumber are en route for the new firm, details unavailable. E. H. and W. H. Orr left for Iowa this week after their mother’s long illness. They departed Wednesday evening.

Postmaster in Trouble Over Embezzlement Case
Postoffice inspector Egge tracked a Sandstone Minnesota assistant postmaster named Holm who allegedly embezzled money order funds. Holm fled after an accounting demand last June and was later found in Sentinel Butte. He was arrested and brought to Dickinson for U.S. court proceedings under U.S. Marshal custody.

Prehn Opens Pool Hall in Former Saddlery Building
E E Prehn, who sold his meat market to J C Gile, opens a pool hall and short order restaurant in the Sentinel Butte Saddlery Co building. The saddlery firm has moved to the Kellogge building, vacated by J R Waters and Atty Andrews, who occupy rooms above the lower and Wagner store temporarily. Waters and Andrews plan to move to the Golden Valley State Park building apartments once the addition is finished.
