Merchants will publish voting coupons to boost candidates while a Dickinson meat market relocates here within thirty days, promising a complete metropolitan market setup.
About fifty friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Mikkelson to surprise the couple on their twenty fifth silver wedding. The crowd enjoyed food from baskets and heard pioneer tales from the honored pair. Guests left gifts of silver keepsakes for the future.
Beach will see a new two story and basement hotel at First avenue and Hunter street opposite the Bartley block. Dr. J W Snow plans a 32 room European plan hotel with cafe and stores on the first floor and an office on Hunter street front. Construction will be by day labor under Dr Snow's supervision. Newmann the hypnotist performed at Artis hall with lively demonstrations Friday through Sunday and drew strong crowds.
Mason and Salzman awarded the contract to build a 40 by 80 foot amusement hall on First avenue east of the Logan property opposite the Farmers elevator. The facility will have a maple floor and is advertised as a popular dance venue and versatile entertainment space to be ready within thirty days, targeting a Thanksgiving opening.
State Superintendent T A Hoverstad fixes Monday November 8 at 10:00 a m for a Beach Farmers Institute. Hon C C Gregg famed former Minnesota institute head will lead talks on live stock general farming and horticulture with possible third lecturer. Ladies and children invited all free and encouraged to attend. questions welcome.
