Brinton Libel Trial Opens in Mandan With Six Jurors Drawn
The Morton county court hears the Near and Stockwell cases against publisher J. W. Brinton. Only six jurors were secured yesterday. panel completed today and the first witness called. About 50 Beachites subpoenaed, cost borne by the county. Witnesses arrive from Montana Wisconsin and Illinois. Next week the Near libel case begins with anticipated sensational testimony. Four lawyers are engaged.

M E Church Dedication At City Sees Large Attendance
The city celebrated the dedication of a new seven thousand dollar Methodist Episcopal church. A Friday reception from 5 to 8 pm opened the program, followed by Dr J M Waters of Fargo delivering the keynote address The Church of the Future. The address impressed listeners and inspired higher aims among the congregation. General services filled Saturday and Sunday morning.

Hurrah For The Fourth Beach Plans Spark Grand Celebration
Plans for a monster Fourth of July celebration in Beach were completed this week. The event features a 9:00 a.m. industrial parade with elaborately trimmed autos and floats, a ball park game, 1:00 p.m. foot and field races on Main Street, and 2:30 p.m. matinee horse races.
