Man Killed By Freight Train Near Yates
John Linton a Milwaukee laborer was killed last Friday evening two miles beyond Yates when a freight engine struck him as he walked back to Beach. His mangled body carried a $40 personal check a watch a bottle of alcohol and his name in a book. He had been intoxicated the day before and may not have heard the approaching train. The body was sent to Glendive for coroner’s handling.
