Dance at Medora Draws Good Crowd Despite Rainy Weather
1S. Bispham reports a large turnout at the Medora dance last Friday night. The Hougan orchestra was to provide music. A heavy rain began Wednesday and persisted until yesterday noon, totaling about three inches and soaking the ground. Despite concerns about flax damaged by a crust, the rain softened the soil and growth is progressing well.

Belfield Beats Beach In Seven Inning Return Baseball
Belfield from outside defeated Beach 9 to 5 in a return game last Sunday. Beach led early, Belfield tied it, and a seven run eighth inning sealed Beach’s collapse as Belfield earned the win. Belfield pitcher held the locals to four hits, while Belfield rapped nine singles including a three base hit driving in three runs. Beach errors and slumping batting eye marked the defeat.
