Petition Seeks Townships Move from Billings to Bowman
J O Lytle and S L Sheldon with Charles Phelan presented a petition to the county board asking the two south tier townships be removed from Billings county and joined to Bowman county. Bowman representatives advised delaying action for a future election as the board tabled the petition. Yates post office now open after Beach office supplies arrived. Dickinson Creamery pays top market price for cream.

Tragic Farm Fire Kills Two Children Near Dickinson
A shocking farm fire ten miles from Dickinson last Saturday left Joseph Olil's family with four young children burned and frostbitten. An infant died in the father's arms, another child died later, and two others remain severely injured with one near death and another likely crippled. Mrs. Kohl, visiting a neighbor, left her husband to care for the children as the blaze consumed the house. The Ker family lost horses as well. The Kolil family, of Hungarian origin, had lived in the area about a year.

Wreck at South Heart injures no one aboard two NP trains
At New South Heart late Monday night a head on collision occurred between No. 61 westbound and an extra eastbound freight. Nine teen cars damaged, front engines badly damaged, yet crews escaped unharmed. Investigation ruled the wreck unavoidable due to dense steam and snow obscuring the siding. Dickinson crews aboard both trains listed. Eastbound passenger No. 6 delayed over four hours.
