The North Dakota Dry Farming association opens its annual meeting in Dickinson with a welcome by Mayor R H Johnson and greetings from Pres C L Timerman. Key talks cover crop rotation moisture conservation summer fallow and cooperation in farming amid a full two day program.

Fanlstrom Knutson Nuptials Peromps in Golden Valley

The wedding of Gunner Fahlstrom and Miss Cora Knutson was held last Saturday evening with Rev. E A Voller officiating. The bride wore pale blue silk and was assisted by her sister Jennie Knutson. The groom, a Golden Valley farmer from eleven miles south of the city, was attended by Albert Knutson. A wedding supper was served by Mrs. Maanum, and well wishes were offered for the couple's happiness and prosperity.

Pretty Beach Wedding Unites Sut and Evers in Nov

The ceremony took place on November 28 nine miles east of Beach as Martin Sut married Isabella Evers of Marmarth. Rev. Essig of Miles officiated. Guests included the groom’s mother Mrs. F Zeem and cousins. After a bounteous meal the couple honeymooned in Marmarth with the bride’s parents before returning to Beach to start life on the groom’s farm.

Tragic Kitchen Fire Kills Mrs Inman in Wibaux

In Wibaux last Sunday afternoon Mrs. Inman died from burns after a gasoline can exploded while lighting a fire. Her husband John Inman and two young children survived as the body was embalmed by R. E. Walker and sent to Anoka Minnesota for burial. The Fargo Courier News reports local business chatter about western settlement and a coming boom as Mr. Baer describes land shows and new mills boosting Beach North Dakota.

Saintly Widow’s Quilt Gift Blesses Rev Adams

The article recalls Rev Allen Halterman and his wife from Missouri frontier days. Mrs Halterman, widow in Bunker Hill Illinois, died before completing a quilt for Rev Adams. Her daughter, A. W. Kastien, arranged for the quilt to be finished and given to Adams, who calls it a perfect beauty and a lasting gift from a saint.

Dickinson Wins Both Games From Locals

The Beach team coached by Manager Smith and Captain McDonald traveled to Dickinson and lost both games on a slick floor. Dickinson’s success was aided by suction bottom shoes giving them sure footing while Beach struggled to finish plays. McDonald scored a notable long-range basket in the first half as Dickinson led 16 to 7 at intermission.

Chronicle notes Beach State Bank marked its first birthday since opening December 7, 1910. The bank reports assets and liabilities over 95000, paid-in capital 15000, net profit and surplus near 4000, loans and discounts about 60000, and deposits around 65000, a strong one-year showing.

Beach Celebrates New Depart Depot as Town Pledges Pride

Beach dedicates a new brick depot replacing the old shack with praise for the National P. force and the railroad station. The Commercial Club, led by former Supt. B. C. Johnson of Glendive, is credited for securing the modern structure and urged to continue civic improvements.

St. Matthew's Chapel marks Second Sunday in Advent with Holy Eucharist at 10:30 and evening song at 4. J S Brayfield leads sermon. Rev. Alexander Karr preaches at Methodist Episcopal church and to remain. Epworth League meets at 6:30 and 7:30 song service follows.
