Beaver Claims Another Victim Near Beach
Roy Brown of Savage Montana was killed last Tuesday when a buggy overturned in Big Beaver creek at the Shibley crossing north of Beach. His companion George Eickhoff survived, rescued from the river, while Brown, 23, was swept away. The body was recovered Wednesday near the Montana line. He leaves a wife Edith Hensey and four brothers, with funeral services at the M. E. church and burial in Beach cemetery.

A sad accident occurred late Tuesday afternoon at the home of Felix Faltus in Stipek when his 6 year old son, while playing with a rifle, accidentally discharged it. Frank Faltus, the dead boy, and his older brother were alone in the house. The rifle, 30 calibre, was found and fired as the boys played. Dr. Hathaway attended to the injured boy.

Drowning tragedy as Hart couple perishes in Davis Creek
Medora, Aug 21. In the Missouri slope s saddest event, Mr. and Mrs Leo A Hart were drowned Sunday evening in Davis Creek four miles south of Medora. The pair, riding in a buggy with Deputy Sheriff Vic Pehrreon, were swept under the rushing water as the crossing was made. Pehrreon and his wife clung to branches and escaped, while Mr Hart and Mrs Hart disappeared beneath the torrent. Searchers worked through the night recovering Mr Hart’s body about a half mile from the crossing and Mrs Hart’s body later upstream. Funeral services were held at Medora with Rev John Orchard officiating.
