Prominent Young Couple Wed in Beach North Dakota

A highly notable Beach wedding united Mr. B. T. Piesik of Piesik Land and Loan Co. with Miss Annabel Roller in a 9:00 AM Roman Catholic ceremony officiated by Father Walpers. The bride wore cream silk with white veil and carried white carnations. she and escort Miss Violet Piesik appeared in white silk. The groom, from Minnesota originally, was attended by Nick Guelff of Yates. A lavish reception followed at the groom's parents’ Grant Street home with Beach businessmen and city officials in attendance. The couple planned a honeymoon trip to Hunter's Hot Springs before returning to their new life together.

Mushrooms Bring Bert Sprague a Dirt Filled Dinner

A Lowell Bros hardware clerk Bert Sprague was gifted a pan of Golden Valley mushrooms for lunch only to find the dish spoiled with dirt from a thief who also ruined the pan. Neighbors express sympathy for the mishap and Bert’s lighthearted misfortune.

Pickett Van Kirk Wed In Quiet Meth odist Ceremony

A very quiet and pretty wedding was held last Sunday morning at 9:00 in the Methodist church. Rev Benedict Van Kirk, policeman, officiated. Miss Cleo Pod laughter of Mr. J. L. Pickett served as bridesmaid. The bride is a popular city girl and well liked, while the groom is seen as a rising young man. Mrs John Scott assisted the bride, Rosco Pickett attended the groom. The Chronicle offers congratulations.

B O Johnson Goes to Fargo

Supt B O Johnson of the Yellowstone division of the Northern Pacific is transferred to the Fargo division with headquarters at Fargo. He will be succeeded by I H Sentry arriving from the Idaho division Saturday. C L Nichols general superintendent accompanied the new Yellowstone division head and introduced him to railroad agents and other employees.

The Golden Valley Chronicle cartoonist John M. Baer, secretary of the Commercial Club, is the subject of a new caricature. Baer, recognized beyond the area, has drawn for northwest cities and designed the North Dakota Exposition booklet cover. His work for local campaigns, including the county division effort, is noted, and readers will see more of his Beach business men cartoons and Commercial Club Boosters next week.

Manager C. D. Harlow arranged with Superintendent T. A. Haverstad of the N. D. A. C. to deliver an address to farmers on the second day of the Interstate Fair at Beach on September 27. He is regarded as a leading authority on crop raising and promises a worthwhile talk.

Minnesota cities Paul Minneapolis and Duluth agree to furnish 3500 square feet of preferred space at a state led land show. The seven state exhibit plan includes Washington Oregon Idaho Montana North and South Dakota and Minnesota with equal share and non private management to benefit all states. Morse Beats Skyles In Fast Bout At Opera House

Boxing fans witnessed a lively match between Billy Morse of Miles City and Bob Skyles of Bowman. Morse outlasted his foe after four rounds, scoring a decisive finish with a solid solar plexus blow and a jaw swing. Referee W. F. Heffron and seconds Art Wood and a Glendive associate supported the bout. Morse’s trainer noted Skyles’ potential with more training.
