Gloucester Pastures Protection Board report notes stock care and drought
The Stock Inspector reports in detail on district conditions from November 1938 to January 1939. He lists holdings visited, stock counts, pig inspections, and transport mileage, then describes rainfall, drought effects on pastures and dairy output, health concerns including an ophthalmia outbreak, TB condemnations, and moderate mortality. He covers stock movements, returns compliance, court activity, swine compensation, arsenical poisoning mortality, and reserve improvements with various shelter sheds and fencing works.
