Amalgamated Wireless chief Mr. E. T. Fisk returns from Melbourne saying a surprise awaited the opening. London Lord Mayor activated lights by beam wireless from England. Signals from London triggered relays here, then Neon sign proclaimed the show open. Exhibition linked London Montreal Suva and Wellington to demonstrate Empire wireless contact. Telegrams were sent across the hall via wireless for 6d each, proceeds to the Lord Mayor’s hospital fund.
