St Thomas parish roots and Tobin legacy in Emmetsburg
The Tobin couple Thomas and Ellen linked to St Thomas church site in Emmetsburg. Parish formed in 1905 with Bishop Garrigan appointing Father Michael J. McNerney to organize it. First baptisms and weddings occurred between 1905 and 1906 as church and rectory were built and funded by the Tobin estate.
