First Annual Festival Showcase Outstanding Success
A large audience enjoyed performances from five area festivals in Somerset Community Hall. Eldon Heinrichs of Manitou won the Arts Career Scholarship and will pursue commercial art. Guest performers included Paul Helfter and Brian Clark.

300 Attend Guide Camp at Spruce Woods Park
Spruce Woods Park hosted the Girl Guide and Pathfinders camp out with an international theme. About 300 attended led by Glenboro Pathfinders with Spain represented. activities included crafts Aerobic Dancing Archery and a Chariot Race. Tiger Hills Board Approves Seminar Plans and Staffing Changes
