In 1973 the Glenboro Senior Citizens Guild sought funds for the Senior Home and proposed placing bottles in stores for donations. Contributors would see their names published in The Gazette the week before Christmas, replacing traditional Greetings cards with bottle donations.
The Glenboro 4-H Homemakers report the Health Auxiliary raised 449.69 from the Christmas Card Bottle program, with 630.70 collected in 1981. They encourage continued bottles at local shops for the 1983 drive and note the 4-H meeting on November 17 and the December 8 party.
Elizabeth Jemson of Winnipeg hosted a dinner guest list includes Carrie Mills and Hansina Bjornson. Diana Budd of Ninette and Annie Smart of Stockton visited Thelma Dagg. Ruth Lalonde recuperates after recent surgery at Brandon General Hospital.
