In a decisive game the Tigers shut out Hico 49 to 0. West intercepted, Wellborn opened scoring, and McKinney, Hart, and Wellborn added multiple runs and a 90 yard sprint. Glen Rose fought hard but could not finish drives. Tonight the Tigers host the Joshua Owls.

Line play by W McPherson and Dempsey opened lanes as many players saw action. The Kittens host Granbury next Tuesday at 7 30 p m with a season slate listed for September 27 through October 25.

A preliminary farm census shows Somervell County with 217 tractors and 86 farms using no machinery. Cattle and calves total 6 226. 73 farms have telephones and 303 have electricity. 212 farms have running water. 44 have televisions. 54 have home freezers. There were 422 watering tanks up from 173 in 1950. 166 operators earned extra income from other jobs in 1954. Eggs marketed totaled 87 409 dozen for 27 147 dollars. cattle hogs sheep horses and mules sale income reached 245 672 dollars.
