Bluegrass Event Set At Park
Oakdale Park in Glen Rose hosts the Sixth Annual Bluegrass Jam boree from Friday 7 p.m. to Sunday 6 p.m. featuring Chubby Wise Mac Wiseman the Lewis Family and visiting bands from San Antonio Fort Worth Tivoli Irving Moore Okla and more. Local Optimist Club and Home Demonstration Clubs manage the event.

Fifty eight students received diplomas at Glen Rose Junior High School graduation in the auditorium Tuesday night. Special awards were given to Laurie Kyle, Lonita Bivens, Lynette Reese, Weldon Brandan, Blake Hammond, Casey Burch, and Kim Huffman for achievements in literature English science history band athletics and math.

The Optimist Club announces the summer baseball program begins Monday at 5 30 pm with season ending July 25.
