Harry Bell admitted May 12. Mrs. C B Heathington of Paluxy, Mrs. Effie King, and Mrs. J R Carlton also admitted to the hospital.
Mrs Pearl Barnett of Ft Worth visited Mr and Mrs J M Bent Wednesday. The Sander family were guests of Mrs Sam Layne Sunday. Jo Flanary of Acton had lunch with them. Mrs Glenn O Neal and boys of Glen Rose attended church services at Rainbow Sunday.

State Track Meet in Austin yields 2nd in broad jump for Jay Eddie McCarty. Several visits, surgeries, and local deaths referenced along with rain and a traffic fatality in Bosque County.
Rev Otis Testerman formerly of Friendship Baptist Church east of Cleburne was called to lead First Baptist Church Glen Rose last Sunday night He and Mrs Testerman with their two children will relocate this week to occupy the pastorate He is attending Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth.
Judy Elaine Williams daughter of Mr and Mrs Randall Williams and niece of Mr and Mrs Woody Brown was named Miss Lake Whitney at the annual contest last Saturday night. She entered as Miss Waxahachie sponsored by the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce and will next enter the Miss Texas contest.
Mrs. Ethel Connally will present her piano and organ pupils in recitals at the high school auditorium next Thursday and Friday nights. The Thursday program features high school and major high pupils, while Friday's recital is for elementary pupils. Programs begin at 1 30 both evenings.
Glen Rose resident Hal S. Holden announces engagement of daughter Sandra Christine Holden to Philip Van Adzin of Houston. A July wedding is planned in Houston. Both couples attended the University of Texas and Van Adzin is the son of Mrs Elizabeth Coghlan, a longtime Houston resident.
Jaude Junior Wood 34 of Cleburne faces a barbiturate possession charge filed after a Saturday arrest by Sheriff Bone near Glen Rose courthouse. He was jailed then released on a $500 bond. The misdemeanor carries 30 days to 8,000 dollars in fines on conviction.
Glen Rose winners at the San Antonio Bantam Show over the weekend include Gary Marks with the best opposite sex Wyandotte hen, Doyle Cooper capturing four firsts plus best opposite sex White Cornish, and Greg Marsh with a second in WLR Cornish. Pam and Coke Gibbs earned a trophy for Champion rock bantam.
Crabtree Chevrolet adds a first class body shop with Benfield directing the new department and Moody Marsh overseeing the service station.

The Glen Rose FFA Boys traveled by bus starting Friday evening May 8 visiting Waco Fay Texas A and M Galveston Port Bolivar Galveston docks Navy destroyer Huntsville Sam Houston sites and a state prison tour. They returned home Sunday after a full weekend of swimming boating racing and sightseeing.
Sportsmen Club members plan a Sunday trip to Lake Whitney meeting at the Square at 1:00 PM. Members with boats should bring them and join a group voyage. all members are invited to participate.
Buck Creek hosts a community homecoming next Sunday May 17 inviting everyone to bring lunch. Bill McVicker will serve as MC for the afternoon singing session.
