Parker-Davis House Receives Texas Historic Marker
The Parker-Davis House in Glen Rose is awarded a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark medallion and interpretive plaque sponsored by Mrs. William C. Davis Jr. Built in 1890 from nearby limestone, the home was restored in 1964 and features a 14 inch medallion with a 14 by 9 inch plaque. The ceremony is set for Sunday June 27 at 2 p.m.

Strawn Recovers Loot From Local Burglaries
Sheriff Strawn recovered most items stolen from the Capitol Aggregates Silica Sand Plant in two burglaries.
