Dr Jake Roden Dies in Missouri at 42
Dr Jake Roden 42 died Tuesday evening in Columbia Missouri of a heart attack. He had brought his family to Glen Rose for vacation and planned a Yale University fellowship. Roden taught at the University of Missouri Medical School since 1957 and chaired the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Private funeral services were held at Chall Mt Cemetery in Glen Rose. He was born August 17 1917 in Glen Rose and educated at the University of Texas and its medical school. He trained at Iowa Virginia and Johns Hopkins and practiced in Midland before joining Missouri. Survivors include his wife Gloria four children his mother and siblings and many colleagues across Texas and national universities.
