A Walnut Springs man and a Cleburne man and woman were arrested Friday night by Sheriff Speck Strawn for being drunk in a public place. The men were jailed here, the woman in Cleburne, and all three were released Saturday after pleading guilty and paying $20 fines.

No Injuries In 1 Car Collision
A two car crash in front of Wilson Bros. Station on Highway 67 at about 6 p.m. Monday left no injuries. Rita E. Ridings attempted to turn across the highway and was struck from behind by Paul Ray Horn who was passing in a 1956 Chevrolet. Ridings’ 1952 Ford pickup, owned by Mike Tiwater, sustained about 75 dollars in damage, while Horn’s vehicle, owned by Chas. L. Benskin of Dallas, sustained about 200 dollars in damage.
