The Georges Creek Home Demonstration Club met January 12 at Willie Myers’s home with nine members and two visitors. The program focused on meal planning and plans for the coming year were made. Refreshments were served by Mrs Myers and daughters-in-law. The next meeting is set for January 26 at Mrs Willie Lee Russell’s home.

L. S. Boyles Dies At 57 In Cleburne Hospital

L S Boyles aged 57 died Friday January 20 after a long illness in a Cleburne hospital. Services were held Saturday at Glen Rose Funeral Home Chapel conducted by C A Buchanan minister. A Sun Oil Company retiree, he had lived in Glen Rose since 1947 and in Kilgore much of his life. Survived by a daughter Mrs M E Wilkinson Jr of Shreveport a son L S Boyles Jr of Oil City La three brothers and four sisters Burial was at Squaw Creek Cemetery with pallbearers named Ratliff Doyle Aston Wiggin Austin Gieske Delbert Armstrong and Porter Simmons.

Miss Mary Lee Bridges bride elect of Glyndon Mague Ha gue of Cleburne was honored Friday with a gadget club shower at Mrs. L. G. Tillman’s home.
