Final Report on March of Dimes Drive
The report thanks donors and groups from Georges Creek church to Buck Creek for their support. Donations include $65.96 from peanuts, $112.98 for crutches, $21.65 from a Patton ball game, $34.96 from school cards, $13.20 from clubs and council, $5.00 from the Eastern Star, $23.90 from Buck Creek, and $229.65 from the banquet. Coin collectors added $73.99, totaling $579.39 with some expenses pending.

Mrs. Hattie Mimms 78 Passes After Long Illness
Hattie Mimms a lifelong Somerville County resident died at the local hospital after a long illness. Born August 2 1877 at Brazos Point she was the daughter of William Shields and his wife. She married George Mimms on December 16 1897 and had ten children five of whom survive along with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Settlement services were conducted by Rev Marvin D Kilman at the Glen Rose Funeral chapel with burial at White Church cemetery.

Williams Rites Highlight Glen Rose Burial for Local Resident
Mrs. Williams born January 10, 1876 moved to Glen Rose from Hood County and lived there about 17 years. Survivors include daughters Mrs. L Arvine of Glen Rose and Mrs. é T Run yon of Tucumcari with six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lester Trimble, Austin Giesecke, Delbert Armstrong, Porter Simmons, Earl Cavassos, and Melvin Gambrell.

James B Barclay 75 a retired farmer died Sunday January 8 at his Hedley home from a heart attack. Funeral services were held January 9 at Hedley Baptist Church with Rev J S Tipton and Rev M G Upton. graveside rites followed in Quanah cemetery. Survived by wife Rosa Cross and 9 children, plus 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
