Sarah Ida Franklin laid to rest in Glen Rose
Mrs. Sarah Ida Franklin 84 died January 9 after a two week illness. She was laid to rest January 10 at Ward Branch Cemetery after funeral services at Glen Rose Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Dutch Mann and Rev. Cleo Evans. Surviving daughters are Mae Grooms Ruby Elliott and Ola Nuckols along with 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Out of town relatives listed include families from Fort Worth Irving Cleburne Azle and Dallas.

Four Traffic Mishaps Investigated Here
City Marshal Danny Smith investigated four minor traffic accidents last week with no injuries. A 1958 Chevrolet driven by Hazel Lane collided with Ruby Gordon’s 1965 Chevrolet near Jackson's Superette causing about 30 dollars in damage. Weather contributed to two Saturday incidents on Highway 67 144 with higher damage. Marion Elliott’s 1958 Chevrolet pickup and B Reynolds’s 1957 Ford collided after church services causing about 40 dollars in damage.

A Cleburne man was arrested and jailed here Thursday afternoon of last week for being drunk in a public place. He paid a fine of 21.50 dollars Friday morning and was released. Arresting officers were Sheriff Speck Strawn and City Marshall Danny Smith.
