Child Hurt In Auto Mishap Near Georges Creek
Four year old Edwin Goodwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Goodwin, suffered pavement burns and bruises after being struck by a pickup driven by Lewil Cheek near his Georges Creek home. He was treated at a local hospital and released. Skid marks showed the vehicle traveled 25 to 30 miles per hour.

Lt Roy Nelson Dies In Vietnam
Memorial rites will be held in San Antonio for Lt Roy L Nelson son in law of M Sgt and Mrs Houston E Lowe of San Antonio He was killed in action in Vietnam Thursday of last week Lt Nelson had been in Vietnam since late February He was married to Toni Lee Lowe about two years His wife a baby daughter his parents and one brother survive The Lowes are natives of this community She is the former Lee Beth Peterson They moved from here about 20 years ago.
