Kilgore disposal contract approved by Union Grove board
Southwest Disposal Co. of Kilgore is authorized to start trash collection at Union Grove for 60 dollars monthly and two pickups weekly, replacing costly burial disposal. Enrollment stands at 385 with 40 new students, eighth grade largest at 42, 129 in high school. Thai Bride Adapts To Life With Wells In Texas
Piline Jermpuckdee and husband Keith Wells live with Blanche Wells at 1508 Alice St after military transfers. She adapts by speaking Thai with family, misses Thailand and family, and cooks Thai dishes like fish soup. They married in 1974 in Thailand and 1975 in Glendale Arizona.

Funeral Rites Held for Omer Stevens of Gladewater
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday for Omer Stevens 54 of Gladewater at Malcolm Stone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev BF Risinger Jr presiding. He died Monday Sept 20 after a long illness in a local hospital. He leaves Lydia his wife John Sam Stevens a son and relatives including Ethel Anderson. Pallbearers listed. He was a retired oil well driller born in Paris Arkansas and affiliated with First Baptist Church of Gladewater.
