Union Grove Lions- Eagles 0 0 in season opener

The Union Grove defense dominated in Lion Stadium holding the heavier Tatum Eagles to a 0-0 tie in the 1971 opener. Lions players Jerry Johnson Bill Jackson Ricky Pace Freddie Goodson Tom Mackey and others led a swarming defense that limited yardage to 16 for Tatum while Union Grove gained 146.
