Campbell's Label for Education program expands to grades 1-8
Campbell Soup Company will run its Labels for Education program again, this year including schools from kindergarten through eighth grade. The initiative offers audio visual gymnasium and sports equipment plus items tied to the Bicentennial theme. applications must be submitted by October 20 with label collections ending January 9 1976.

Rites Held for Mrs. Sidney Brunson in Overton
Funeral services for 56 year old Mrs. Sidney Eva Ruth Brunson were conducted at the Overton Church of Christ with burial in Overton Cemetery. Born in Cisco, she lived in Overton since 1931 taught and later served as secretary for New London Public Schools and worked as an accountant for Hefner's Plastics in Troup. She is survived by her husband, two daughters including Mrs. John Paul Tallent of Gladewater and Mrs. Linda Kay Sullivan of Austin, a sister Mrs. Gene Burks of North Little Rock, and two grandchildren.

Band Boosters vote to buy van for instruments
At a Thursday night meeting the Band Boosters unanimously approved purchasing a van type truck to transport band instruments. President Mrs. Margaret Sims led the session. Don Ledbetter suggested the funding split with two thirds from the Boosters and one third from the school.
