United Fund Drive Reaches 81 Percent Of Goal
The 1975 United Fund drive has reached 81 percent with $12,187.46 raised of a $15,000 target. Campaign workers urge timely card returns and donations to conclude the drive by week’s end. The State Department of Highways and Public Transportation announced a bridge project on Gay Avenue in Gladewater. W. R. Boyd Inc. of Center will build an 88,364.26 dollar reinforced concrete bridge across Glade Creek, closing Gay Avenue to through traffic with U S 80 as the detour.
