Council eyes status for city airport
The city council discussed the city airport expansion and heard reports on gasoline supply bids. One bid from a Longview firm offered 21.5 cents per gallon for regular and 23.5 cents for Ethyl on a month to month basis. Gulf Oil agreed to supply on a month to month basis at 14.78 cents regular and 16.63 cents Ethyl. The council voted to continue the service agreement with Gulf as other items were addressed.
