Fifty-one beauties to appear at Rose Festival pageant
Fifty-one coeds from Southwest cities will compete in the 35th Rose Festival Queen coronation in Tyler October 19 and 20. Miss Cynthia Stringer of Tyler, SMU sophomore, will reign as queen. The event features lavish gowns, a Persian Palace setting, and a Peacock Throne as the queen is crowned with jeweled decor and a faculty of noted performers and a Dallas orchestra.
