Through August 1976 the city issued 33 new residence permits matching total 1975 for the year. Building permits for residential, commercial and alterations amount to 1,137,113 this year, down from 1,407,365 in 1975. Nine mobile home permits totaling 84,100 were issued, along with five new commercial permits and 12 commercial alterations.
Gladewater Bears score first but lose to West Rush Raiders 14 6 in a district opener.
