Mrs. Sarah Sharrock Rites Held for longtime Gladewater Resident
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for 74 year old Mrs. Sarah Faye Sharrock in the Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel with Rev. B F Risinger Jr and Rev Herman Reagh officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park. She died Saturday night after a lengthy illness in a local nursing home. Born October 20 1899 in Azell Texas she spent most of her life in Gladewater and was a member of First Baptist Church for 32 years. She and her husband Leon Sharrock former Gladewater police chief would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in December. Surviving are husband two daughters Mrs Bette Morgan and Mrs Maggie Gothard both of the city a son Kenneth Deaton of Ft Worth seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are named.

Rites Held Thursday for Mrs. Beth Mae Sharp
Funeral services for 71 year old Beth Mae Sharp of Gladewater were held Thursday at Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel with burial at Gladewater Memorial Park. She died at 8 a.m. Tuesday after a long illness. She was born February 21, 1902, in Walters Oklahoma and was a longtime saleslady at the Up Town Shop. Survived by son John William Sharp of Lake Charles Louisiana, brother Don R. Smith of Walters Oklahoma, sisters Beryle Duncan of Jefferson City Missouri and Alice Medlin of Dallas, plus four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sam Moore Leon Waggoner D L Byrd B P Dake Foy Shepperd and James Gelvin.
