Faulder Denied New Trial in Capital Murder Case
In Gregg County, Judge Marcus Vascoca denied the motion for a new trial for Joseph Stanley Faulder, convicted of capital murder for the July 8 1975 death of Mrs Inez Phillips in Gladewater. Faulder, a Canadian national, plans an appeal from the 188th District Court. He was found guilty on October 26 and sentenced to die by lethal injection on November. He remains in Gregg County jail.
