Mrs. Bessie Annie Crump, 78, died Tuesday midnight at a local hospital. Funeral services set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Malcolm Stone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. F Risinger officiating. Burial in Sand Hill Cemetery. Survived by two sons W. B. Nevels Whitesboro Eugene Dunn Gladewater a daughter Mary Brewer Gladewater 14 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren. She was a 43 year Gladewater resident born in Missouri and a Baptist.

GHS choral members, band musicians, and twirlers earned UIL honors at two meets last Saturday. Gladewater's Centennial Corporation plans an eight day celebration from July 28 to August 4 with parades, a coronation, religious observances, youth activities, Pioneer Homecoming, a bearded contest, and the production Gladewater 100 produced by Rogers Company. The event includes a time capsule to be opened in 2073 and profits shared with the Chamber of Commerce and Public Library.
