Rotary Club Installs Officers for 1971-72
The Rotary Club installed new officers and directors for 1971-72 at a noon meeting with Rotary Anns present. E. G. The Rev. B. F. Risinger Jr. will become pastor of First Baptist Church Gladewater on June 30, with a mid week prayer service at 7 15 p m. He and his wife Jan and two sons will relocate this week. Gladewater City Council Approves Subdivision and Industry Plans
The council approved a new housing subdivision and plans for a new industry in Gladewater. Long-time hospital board members were reappointed, an additional planning commission member was named, and the city’s sewer and water projects advanced. The annual audit was accepted with a $4,000 overpayment noted.

Services Set For Loflin In Gladewater Burial In Memorial Park
Aubrey Jack Loflin 70 of Gladewater died unexpectedly in Bath North Carolina while visiting his brother Walter Vaughn. Funeral services scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Malcolm Stone Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Irvin D Bates officiating. Burial at Gladewater Memorial Park. He was born June 10 1901 in Coleman County Texas and lived in Gladewater 35 years. He was a retired General Telephone employee and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survived by wife Catherine of Gladewater and brothers Walter Vaughn Bath NC and Eugene T Vaughn Eugene OR. Pallbearers are Frank Sinclair Curtis Smith Lee Downing J M Dobins Ray Cumby and Paul Robinson.
