Tyler School Superintendent to Address Gladewater Rotarians

Tyler school superintendent Jim Plyler will speak to the Gladewater Rotary Club on the Four-Quarter School Year. Roy Leggitt chairs the program. Plyler joined Tyler schools in 1951, has served as assistant principal at Robert E. Lee High, principal of Moore Junior High, and director of personnel before becoming superintendent in 1969. He earned a UT Bachelors, played tackle for the Longhorns, and captained the team in 1945. he holds a Master’s from Stephen F. Austin University.
