Scale Model Digester System Presented to Rotary Club
Jimmy Brown reports on a new waste processing system described by Buck Hammer of Ambassador College. The Eweson Composting System uses bacteria in a 120 foot long digester to convert trash into soil improving humus with no odor. Operational by May, the $200000 plus plant near the city will accept city garbage and produce usable compost.

Lola Leestus McKinley 54 died Friday in a local hospital. Funeral services Sunday at 2:30 pm at First Pentecostal Church with Bro C B Warren and Bro Elisha Verrett officiating. Burial in Union Grove Cemetery. Survived by one son Joel Henderson three daughters Betiy York Melba Oney Sandra Price two brothers Hurley Collum and a sister Beatrice Akin Iva Ruth Luman and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services for George M. Raymond 52 were held Saturday at 4 pm in Rock Springs Church. Burial followed in Rock Springs Cemetery. He died Friday at home from a heart attack. He leaves a mother, a son, a daughter, a brother and three sisters.
