Ambassador College plans cross country bike tour in 1976
Ambassador College will lead 100 youths on a 4500 mile cross country bicycle tour from Oregon to Williamsburg, Virginia using the Trans America route. Gladewater firm Shipp's Marine Service moves into a 60 by 100 foot sales center and a 36 by 80 foot service center on a two acre site. The company, started in 1955 by A. E. Shipp and sons, produces the Sidewinder Bass Boat and offers full outboard motor service including Mercury and Evinrude brands. Annual output is 300 to 400 hand laminated boats with upright flotation, and orders for three models are hard to fill.
