Texans at Rangers Stadium Sworn Into Navy Texas Ranger Company

Mathis Roberts and 91 other Texas youths were sworn into the Navy in Arlington before a Rangers versus Yankees game. The group, designated the Texas Ranger Company, traveled from Love Field Dallas to begin basic training in San Diego. Mathis is a Gladewater High School 1972 graduate.

Three Injured In Two Car Wreck Near Locker Plant Road

Three men were hospitalized after a two car collision on Highway 80 East near Locker Plant Road at 3 25 p m. Harold Raydell Mosley Jr 1966 Chevrolet and Clair Anderson McGill 1972 Chevrolet were involved. Mosley and McGill were in satisfactory condition while Arvon Linn Rogers in ICU in poor condition. Mosley and McGill's families ask for blood and financial donations via Stewart Blood Bank and the Herndons for aid.

DPS Predicts 48 Deaths Over Labor Day Weekend
